Paintings - Drawings
Here you will see some of my work over the years. I made a section with watercolors, a section with oils and acrylics and a section with other media.
Some if my work is available for reprint, for instance as a card, print on t-shirt, pillow or bag, or as a print on a sticker or phone cover, and many others. Look for the Redbubble link.
Watercolors

Dragon Girl.
My daughter, when she was between 8 and 12, was very much into dragons. I made a painting of her using two dragons and a dragon’s eye and together they show my daughter’s face.
Part of my private collection.
-
Matilija poppies
I very much love this plant. The stems are tall, with flowers as big as dinner plates, bright and sunny. Impressive and fragile at the same time.
-
Waterlilies
Lovely as always, floating gracefully on the water, surrounded by the rounded leaves. Tranquil and colorful.
-
Going my own way
This is my daughter at age 2, when she had decided she needed to walk the small path through the high dry grass. She is still following her own path in life.
Part of my private collection.
-
Vietnamese Lady
During my Asian travels I spent some time on the beaches in Vietnam. Many people would come back from a trip at sea to bring back the fish they caught.
-
Final day
This is my piece for my final exam for my watercolor class. I was angry that my teacher did not believe the fact I wasn’t told my work had to be in a week earlier. I had a lot of fun expressing my emotions here.
-
Pink orchids
I love orchids. They are so delicate and so pure in color.
The flower is watercolor, the background is ink.
-
White orchid
I love orchids. This one was so majestic and pure white. Beautiful.

Fun in the sun
We used to live close to a lake in Southern California. The kids grew up there playing on the beach, swimming and boating. This picture will always remind me of good times in the sun.

INS # xxx-xx-094
Born and raise in the Netherlands, I came here in ‘97 with my american husband. Even though I have gotten used to the US, where my kids grew up, I still feel the tug on the heartstrings connected to my country of birth. Always somewhere in the middle.
-
Thaipusam
During my Asian travels I came across the Thaipusam fest in Malaysia. People from Indian descent pay tribute to good triumphing over evil in Hindu tradition. They walked to a temple and made an offering of milk. Many were pierced in the face or had hooks all over. Very impressive.
